ALDBROUGH: Crime Alert - Theft of number plate

Dear Resident,

 

Humberside Police are investigating a report of a theft of a front number plate from a Range Rover parked on Headlands Drive, ALDBROUGH.

 

The incident occurred between 12:24pm Wednesday 11 June and 12pm Friday 13 June. The offender(s) approached a white Range Rover Evoque and removed the front number plate..

 

If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref:  25*80857.

 

Alternatively you could call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You don’t have to leave your name and you may even receive a reward.

Consider investing in anti-theft number plate screws. These can deter thieves as they're harder to remove than standard screws.

 

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into, please read through the below advice -

  • Keep the vehicle locked at all times, and ensure you double lock it.
  • Make sure that your vehicle alarm is set.
  • Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display
  • Don't leave tools in a van over night.
  • If possible park your vehicle on a drive or as close to your home as possible.

  • When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
